All options require detox prior to engagement and a commitment to transfer a percentage of Centrelink benefits for the duration of the residential treatment programs. Specific services targeting methadone reduction, women-only, pregnant women and men-only programs, plus HIV, infectious diseases projects and services for co-morbidity issues. Much of the work and many of the services are supported by volunteers. Access to a range of accommodation options for people who are homeless. Support for increasing individual and community wellbeing is acknowledged through a number of programs which address co-morbidity and mental health issues. Formal referral to services is not required.
