11. Alcohol, tobacco and drugs services - Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre

Australia, NSW Creator: Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre Last reviewed: 18/02/2019

Review: Provides a range of prevention, intervention and education services for women needing help with alcohol, tobacco or other drug use in inner city. Services include counselling and referrals to health services and alternative treatments. Peer-support groups promote healthy lifestyles and healthy relationships with health promotion education and community development activities. The Centre's services adopt a 'social model of health' foundation. While the Centre recognises a dependency on a drug is often embedded in complex social and psychological issues for women, services do not extend to supporting women with severe untreated psychiatric illnesses. NOTE: This is a review of the provider's website and the information on it, not a review of the quality of their services.
