Review: An independent public health and advocacy unit based within Curtin University.  The unit aims to raise the public profile and understanding of public health, develop networks within local communities and create a state-wide umbrella organisation capable of influencing public health policy and political agendas. Knowledge transfer activities engaged by the unit help to make complicated research and project findings user-friendly and relevant using a myriad of health promotion techniques.  Alcohol education and Indigenous health are priority areas with additional resources and links to national data, research and statistics made freely available. An excellent site for Community Studies secondary students, Public Health tertiary students, and professionals working in the public health sector with a focus on community policy and politicians.
