Review: An initiative of the Kimberley medical services teams to actively reduce tobacco smoking in the rural and remote communities located in the region. The program offers support to patients interested in quitting, community education programs on smoking and its harmful effects, training and support for workplaces and community spaces to become smoke free, and health promotion campaigns encouraging healthier choices. Local schools and medical centres can access posters and other resources. Included are materials with a focus on the health needs and cultural practices of the local Indigenous population.
