Review: A series of community initiatives developed, promoted and conducted by local police and volunteers providing young people with entertainment, mentoring and activities in environments that are free from alcohol, drugs, smoking and violence.  Blue Light initiatives encourage prevention and harm reduction lifestyle choices for youth. The website includes news, options for supporting activities, details about events and an invitation to volunteer in the various actvities. A particular target group for the program is young people experiencing significant risk factors. Blue Light Victoria, in partnership with Victoria Police, has 42 branches across Victoria. Every year over 30,000 young people will attend a Blue Light event in metropolitan or rural Victoria.
