The network ensures Aboriginal people lead the agenda for better policies, programs, ethics, services and practices. Resources, including kits to help with tobacco cessation or healthy living, are available free and online to help local services deliver culturally sensitive care.
3. Adele

The program is an integrated residential rehabilitation program, that has a focus on building important life skills, including employment training. Multiple locations available - Coffs Harbor, Werrington and Bucca, though the program is delivered in 3 stages. Coffs Harbour is stage 1 only, Bucca is stage 2 only and Werrington offers stage 1, 2 and 3.
4. Alcohol and Drug Services - Calvary Mater Newcastle

Includes both inpatient and outpatient options. Alcohol and Drug Counsellors support clients to develop an individual care plan with achievable goals. The primary streams include outpatient, detox, and illicit drug programs. Located in the Hunter Valley. Referral by GP, another hospital, specialist, healthcare providers or self-referral.
5. Alcohol and other drugs - ACON

There is harm reduction, safe injecting and general alcohol and drug information for people who use drugs. ACON has developed a 'stimulant health check-up' for GLBTIQ people who use ICE. Mental health and comorbidity issues are addressed for GLBTIQ people, their families and friends. Outreach services are available in multiple metropolitan and rural locations with telephone access to referrals, advice and other services.
6. Alcohol treatment - Discipline of Addiction Medicine - The University of Sydney

The research explores diagnosis, investigation, prevention and treatment aspects of addiction medicine and is intended to decrease harms to individuals and society, and to assist consumers with an alcohol addiction.
7. Alcohol, tobacco and drugs services - Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre

Services include counselling and referrals to health services and alternative treatments. Peer-support groups promote healthy lifestyles and healthy relationships with health promotion education and community development activities. The Centre's services adopt a 'social model of health' foundation. While the Centre recognises addiction is often embedded in complex social and psychological issues for women, services do not extend to supporting women with severe psychosis. There is a strong ethos to develop community and social health connections to enable people to have multiple avenues of help and support at any one time. Located in Blacktown. Alcohol and other drug assessment, treatment and intervention services include medical, social and family support through General Practitioner clinics and substance use management programs. Community-based programs, such as outreach and in-school services, also play an important prevention and early intervention role and are effective in extending a connection to both the young and the elderly and to those not typically engaged with health services.
